A review of Lucky Star was given by Daisuke. Final Rating: Watch it only if you get paid (any amount is fine as long as you get paid).

"Portrays the lives of several school girls attending a Japanese high school with a very loose humor tone. The main heroine is Konata Izumi, an athletic and intelligent girl who, despite these attributes, is not in a sports club, and her grades remain low. Her laziness at school is due to her love for anime and video games, and is not interested in much else. The serialization began with the four main characters in their first year of high school: Konata Izumi, Kagami Hiiragi, Tsukasa Hiiragi, and Miyuki Takara. As the story progresses, they move onto their second and third year."

A review of Gilmore Girls was given by Sven. Final Rating: Steal it from a friend.

"Set in a storybook Connecticut town populated with an eclectic mix of everyday folks and lovable lunatics, GILMORE GIRLS is a humorous multigenerational series about friendship, family and the ties that bind. Now beginning its seventh season, the series revolves around thirtysomething Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham, "Bad Santa" and the upcoming "Evan Almighty") and her college-age daughter, and best friend in the world, Rory (Alexis Bledel, "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," "Tuck Everlasting"). Lorelai has made her share of mistakes in life, but she has been doing her best to see that Rory doesn't follow in her footsteps. That may be easier said than done, considering that the two share the same interests, the same intellect, the same coffee addiction and the same eyes."

"The story begins when high school student Kazuki Muto (武藤カズキ, Mutō Kazuki?) is killed one night saving a mysterious girl from a monster, only to wake up and find it was only a dream. However, he soon finds out how real that dream was when a giant serpentine monster attacks him and his sister. Tokiko Tsumura (津村斗貴子, Tsumura Tokiko?), the girl from his dream, explains that the monster is a homunculus. Kazuki had been attacked and killed by it when rescuing Tokiko, however the girl revived him by placing a kakugane medal in his chest.

The kakugane, Tokiko explains, is an alchemical device that when activated can give him the power to fight the homunculus monster. Using this, Kazuki creates his own buso renkin, an alchemical weapon in the form of a huge lance. Along with Tokiko and her own buso renkin, Kazuki joins the fight against the homunculus and their master."

"Ai Shiomi is a boy with something he doesn't really want: psychic power, also known as Aura Power. "Aura power" allows certain elements such as fire, water, light and earth to be used by those with aura power and which they can use depends on their aura and what they are taught.

The "Psychic Academy", the school Ai agrees to attend after being pressured by his parents, is the elite school students go to learn how to use their elemental aura power. Ai also knows that somewhere within the "Psychic Academy" is his childhood friend Orina (Sarha to those that go there, since that is her aura code name). On his way to his first day at the Psychic Academy, Ai encounters a Myu (Mew) who is another student at the Academy and a very quiet, seemingly moody girl. He also learns that his older brother Zero, a legend amongst those with Aura Powers, will be one of his teachers.

As Ai struggles with his new school, a life he is not sure he wants, a crazy rabbit that takes him as his student, his feelings for Orina and Myuu and the discovery that he has the rare "light aura", and a group of researches try to artificially awaken the dormant Aura genes within all humans (heedless of the danger), Ai's life continues to become complicated with each day in this new world that like it or not he will gradually come to realize he is a part of due to his abilities and power."

A review of Genshiken was given by Daisuke. Final Rating: Watch it no matter what (especially in a group).

"Sasahara Kanji is a college freshman who decides to join a student society to share his hidden thoughts on manga, anime and gaming.

When he first visited Genshiken, short for "Gendai Shikaku Bunka Kenkyuu Kai" (Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture), his groundless pride was destroyed by the plotting of Madarame, a sophomore student in Genshiken, but he still couldn't admit that he is an otaku.

However, as he participates in society activities such as visiting dojin (private publishing) shops and anime festivals, and hangs out with other society members Kosaka (a hardcore otaku despite his extreme eccentricities and good looks), Kosaka’s girlfriend Kasuga Saki (who isn’t really an otaku), Ohno (a cosplayer) and the others, he opens his mind and resolves that he will make his way into the otaku world. With their help, Sasahara slowly adjusts to otaku life in Genshiken.",1442,qifeae,genshiken.html
